Knitwear exporters, besides hailing the decision on extending 24x7 facility to 13 more airports (in respect of all export goods) and 14 additional sea ports (in respect of specified import and export goods) called it a New Year Bonanza.
“This will certainly help enhance the sector's competitiveness in the global market. The circular issued by the Central Board of Excise and Customs has come as a great relief,” the President of Tirupur Exporters' Association, A Sakthivel, said.
TEA is confident that as per the directions given in the CBEC circular, the Chief Commissioner of Customs would deploy sufficient officers round the clock, which would only then make the facility a success.
