The AP Handicrafts Development Corporation (a AP State Govt undertaking) has commenced its Lepakshi Cotton Artificial Jewellery Exhibition here at the Ernakulam Women's Association Hall. This is an exclusive Cotton-Silk-Artificial Jewellery Exhibition being organised on an All-India Level by the AP Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd.
The main aim of the programme is to promote and create market to the handloom products of the weavers and creative work of Indian traditional sarees, and artificial jewellery.
All varieties of Cotton & Silks of Andhra Pradesh and other States such as UttarPradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Bihar are on display for sales.
About 50 Master Weavers/ Designers and Manufactures will participate to exhibit their products worth about Rs 2 crore and sell directly to the customers.
