The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy flagged off regional carrier Air Costa’s inaugural commercial flight from Hyderabad to Vijayawada.
Expressing happiness that the State’s first regional carrier has taken off, the Chief Minister said that the State Government would soon come out with its own civil aviation policy.
Promoted by LEPL Group, a Vijayawada-based infrastructure development firm, the airline will initially connect Vijayawada, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Jaipur and Ahmedabad and expand to other cities such as Pune, Goa, Madurai, Mysore, Thiruvananthapuram and Visakhapatnam in a phased manner.
