Aiming to give soft skills to its cabin crew and front line commercial staff, the Air India Express (AIE) today commenced a two-day workshop.
As part of the workshop, the Minister of State for Civil Aviation, K C Venugopal, will interact with those participating in the training tomorrow. Well known writer, K Sehtu Madhavan, who is also National Book Trust chairman, will also be addressing the staff, AIE sources said.
AIE sources said this was a continuous programme being conducted by Inflight services staff college.
The workshop teaches the crew on ways to interact politely with passengers and address their needs and help them out in difficult situations.
The focus is on customer service, the sources said. The workshop also aims to improve inter-personal skills and inter and intra department skills of the crew.
A ‘de-stresser’ module will also be part of the workshop in which instructors from Brahma Kumaris will take classes for two hours tomorrow.
