The New International Terminal at Chennai Airport will commence operations on Wednesday, according to a press release.
Departures
International departures from the terminal will commence in a phased manner with the departure of 9W-22 bound for Singapore (STD-1200 hrs.)
Thereafter, all international flights of IndiGo, SpiceJet, Jet Airways and Air Austral will operate through the new terminal.
The flight details of airlines shifting their operation to the new terminal (phase-I) are given in the table.
A number of inspections were undertaken by the Airport Authority of India officials, along with other agencies for the last two days for international flight operations. The second phase of shifting will commence on August 14, says the release.
