Under the new Tatkal scheme, tickets will be issued only after producing one of the eight prescribed proofs of identity, according South Western Railway (SWR).
A self-attested photo copy of the proof of identity of any one of the passenger travelling shall be invariably attached to the reservation slip. The following documents are required: Voter photo identity card issued by the Election Commission of India; passport; PAN Card issued by Income Tax Department; driving licence issued by the RTO; photo identity card issued by Central/State Government like Aadhar card; student identity card with photograph issued by the recognised school/college for their students; nationalised bank passbook with photograph and credit cards issued by banks with laminated photographs.
A photo copy of any one of the above mentioned photo ID proof(s) of identity must be self attested and attached to the requisition slip at the time of reservation.
