Southern destinations freight rates for 10 metric tonne load declined by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market on Saturday following less cargo movements.
Transporters said heavy positioning of trucks along with fall in cargo movements mainly pulled down southern destinations freight rates.
Delhi to Mysore, Hyderabad, and Vijaywada rates slipped by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 48,000, Rs 33,000 and Rs 31,000, respectively.
Rates to Chennai, Pondicherry and Coimbatore went down by Rs 1,000 to Rs 43,000, Rs 44,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively.
Similarly, Kochi and Pune freights fell by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 53,000 and Rs 21,000, respectively.
