IBS Software Services has seen 55 successful ‘go-lives' during calendar year 2010 as global travel, transportation and logistics majors implemented varied solutions from the Technopark-based company.
Equivalent to over one ‘go-live' per week, this has helped IBS Soft record 2010 as the most successful year in its 13-year history, a company spokesman said here on Monday.
WIDE RANGE
The company has developed IT solutions across all functional areas of the air transportation industry, offering arguably the widest range of products by any single vendor.
Its customers include some of the world's best airlines, busiest airports, leading cruise lines, top oil and gas companies, travel distributors and hotel groups.
The biggest success story has been iCargo, the new generation air cargo management solution co-developed with five major carriers in the year 2005, the spokesman said.
In the Japanese market, traditionally dominated by local players, iCargo has emerged as the market leader.
LOCALISED VERSION
The year 2010 saw All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan's largest domestic airline, move over to iCargo platform to manage the entire cargo movement including all international commercial cargo operations.
This implementation was the first localised version of iCargo in production with all communication and documentation facilitated in both Japanese and English.
IBS had a hat-trick of iCargo implementation in the first week of October with three iconic customers in three different continents successfully ‘cutover' on three successive days.
One of these at Tokyo International Air Cargo Terminal, Haneda, saw the launch of iCargo JTO. This multi-million dollar investment was carried out to cater to the unique needs of cargo ground handling in Japan.
14 SWITCHOVERS
In addition to cargo, the year saw 14 airlines switch over to IBS' solutions for managing passenger reservations, frequent flyer programmes, airline staff travel, crew management, maintenance, repair, overhaul, fleet scheduling and airport operations.
Eleven implementations had a successful closure in the non-airline space during the calendar year 2010.
The largest of these was an energy monitoring system for a Dubai-based conglomerate and the first phase of a reservation system at MSC Cruises, one of the world's leading leisure cruise companies.
IBS' iDemand Gateway - an advanced distribution connectivity and reservation delivery platform - was adopted by leading names in the hospitality industry.
UPSTREAM LOGISTICS
The company also completed successful implementation of its upstream logistics solution at three operating units of one of the world's largest oil and gas companies.
