The Maharashtra Governor, Mr K .Sankaranarayanan, will inaugurate the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust's office in Mumbai on May 18, the JNPT said in a press release. In fact, the JNPT will be moving to a new spacious office at the World Trade Centre at Cuffe Parade from Rahaja Centre in Nariman Point, where the port's city office has been functioning for more than 30 years.
The JNPT has handled 4.32 million TEUs of cargo last fiscal. The port reported a profit before tax of Rs 892 crore for last fiscal.
