Private carrier Kingfisher Airlines has announced the launch of three international routes connecting South Indian cities to Colombo.
The airline said in a press release that it has launched daily services to Colombo from Tiruchi, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram. The airline plans to use ATR 72-500 aircraft on all three routes.
Commenting on the launch of these international routes, Mr Manoj Chacko, Executive Vice-President — Commercial, Kingfisher Airlines, said: The addition of these new routes further strengthens our route network and we now offer enhanced connectivity especially into and out of South India.’’
The Tiruchi-Colombo-Tiruchi flight leaves Tiruchi at 4 a.m. and arrives at Colombo at 5.15 a.m. On the return, the flight departs Colombo at 2 a.m. to reach Tiruchi at 3.15 a.m.
From Thiruvananthapuram, the flight departs at 12.15 a.m. to reach Colombo at 2 a.m., and the flight from Colombo leaves at 6 a.m. to reach Thiruvananthapuram at 7.30 a.m.
The Kochi flight leaves at 11.45 p.m. and reaches Colombo at 1.15 a.m. and the flight from Colombo to Kochi leaves at 2.45 a.m. and reaches at 4.15 a.m.
