Kone Elevators installs pit-less autowalk in Mumbai airport

The upcoming integrated Terminal 2 at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport now boasts of the first pit-less, Autowalk in Asia. This was installed by Kone Elevators.

Kone InnoTrack Autowalk is a modular-based flat technology platform and the re-installation possibility enables the use of autowalks in buildings and premises in which they have not been used before.

Fast installation

The company has been able to complete the installation of its autowalk in less than a week. This is a completely new product and the challenge was to understand the entire process and methodology and deliver on time, said Neeraj Sharma, Managing Director, Kone India, in a press release.
