The railways will introduce a weekly express train service between Yesvantpur and Mangalore. It will run via Salem, Coimbatore, Palakkad and Kozhikode.
A press release by the Palakkad division of Southern Railway said here that the train no. 16565 Yesvantpur - Mangalore Central weekly express will start from Yesvantpur in Bangalore at 11.55 p.m. on Sundays from August 11 and will reach Mangalore Central at 5.40 p.m. on Mondays.
In the return direction, the train no. 16566 Mangalore Central - Yesvantpur will leave Mangalore Central at 8 p.m. on Mondays and will reach Yesvantpur at 1.30 p.m. on Tuesdays.
This train will have one AC two-tier, one AC 3-tier, seven sleeper class, six general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
It said that the train will stop at Banaswadi, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarpet, Kuppam, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Shoranur, Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod.
