Western Railway has achieved a new milestone by running a ‘python train' (long-haul train) with 90 container wagons load from Mundra Port to Bhildi in Gujarat.
“The Railway has made a maiden attempt by combining two container loaded trains into one python train. The python train left from Mundra Port on May 11 for Bhildi. This will help in increasing the throughput of the section and boost the freight operations on WR and contribute substantially to the economic growth and prosperity of the region,” a release said.
