During the current festive season, South Eastern Railway will run 348 long distance special trains, including premium special trains, from Howrah, Santragachi, Kharagpur, Ranchi and Hatia to different destinations such as Yesvantpur (Bangalore), Chennai, Mumbai, Ernakulam (Kerala), Mysore, Puri, Secunderabad, Anand Vihar (Delhi), Dumka and New Jalpaiguri.
In a statement, SER said that this apart, 30 mail/express trains will have one extra coach in each from September to November/December 2014. These efforts, SER said, would create 1,44,712 additional reserved berths.
Moreover, seven night suburban (local) specials will also be run daily (from September 29 to October 4) during Durga Puja period.
