South Eastern Railway (SER) posted a little over 13 per cent growth in passenger earnings, at Rs 340 crore during the April-June quarter this fiscal, against Rs 300 crore during the year-ago period.

According to a press statement, SER carried 64.2 million passengers during this period. Of the total, 33 million were suburban passengers, while 31.2 million were non-suburban passengers.

The release added that earnings from non-suburban and suburban passenger segments stood at Rs 318.75 crore and Rs 21.50 crore, respectively.
