South Central Railways is introducing super-fast special trains between Secunderabad and Chennai on December 20 to make up for the cancellation of Spice Jet flights.
The special train (No. 02760) will leave Secunderabad on December 20 at 04.00 pm and arrive at Chennai at 04.50 am on the next day.
In the return direction, train No. 02759 will depart Chennai at 08.00 pm on December 21 and arrive at Secunderabad at 09.30 am the next day.
Enroute, the special train will stop at Vijayawada and Nellore in both the direction. It will consist of one AC II tier, one AC III tier, eight sleeper class and two second class luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
In order to clear the extra rush due to Christmas holidays, 14 premium super-fast special trains will be run between Kacheguda and Bangalore from December 24 to January 5.
The train (No. 02656) will depart Kacheguda at 05.30 pm on December 24, 26, 28, 30 and January 1, 3 and 5 to arrive at Bangalore at 04.00 am the next day, with stoppages at Kurnool, Dharmavaram and Yelhanka.
In the opposite direction, the train will depart Bangalore at 09.30 pm to arrive at Kacheguda at 07.30 am the next day.
