Adani Ports & SEZ today said it has signed an initial agreement with the Belgian Port of Zeebrugge to enter the European market.
“Adani Ports & SEZ signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Belgian Port of Zeebrugge to act as a strategic entry port for the lucrative European market,” the company said in a statement.
As per MoU, Adani will collaborate with the Belgian port to explore joint business opportunities in areas such as shipping and railway infrastructure in India and Europe.
Over time, the pact will help in enhancing movement of traffic to and from Adani Ports & SEZ into Europe and beyond, the statement said.
It will also enable the sharing of global best practices including technical know—how between two of the leading port developers globally.
Adani Ports scrip closed at Rs 152, down 3.61 per cent, on the BSE.
