Regional carrier Air Costa has inaugurated Aviation Security Training Institute at Vijayawada.
The company will be using the institute to conduct aviation security training for its security staff, cockpit and cabin crew, apart from providing training to other airlines as well.
It has already commenced a six-day training course for its crew, including six pilots and 19 cabin crew.
Part of the LEPL group, Air Costa has recently completed one year of commercial operations. It currently has 34 daily flights and connects nine cities, including Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Tirupati and Coimbatore. It operates the Embraer E170 (67 seats) and E190 (112 seats) Jets.
