Air India is expected to make a presentation on its overall performance before its new board, which meets in New Delhi tomorrow, sources in the national carrier said today.
The meeting is likely to be attended by all the five part—time directors appointed recently, apart from the top management and Government nominees.
“The airline will make a presentation before the new board on the progress made on its turnaround and financial restructuring plan,” the sources told PTI here.
The new members will be introduced to the board as this will be the first meeting after their appointment.
The Government in May appointed five new part—time directors — Gurcharan Das, Prem Vrat, Air Marshal (retd) K K Nohwar, Ravindra Dholakia and Renuka Ramnath — on the Air India board to use their expertise in achieving the targets set under the turnaround and financial restructuring plan for the flag carrier.
Besides the part-time directors, the board has seven directors from Air India, including its Chairman and Managing Director Rohit Nandan, and two representatives from the Civil Aviation Ministry.
