Fulfilling a long-standing demand of the people of India and Bangladesh, Air India (AI) today launched its direct flight services between Delhi and Dhaka.
Air India would be operating the state-of-the-art Airbus 320 aircraft on Delhi-Dhaka sector.
“The flight AI 0231 left from Delhi at 0545 hours and reached Dhaka at 0845 hours. On the return leg the flight AI 0232 left Dhaka at 0945 hours and reached Delhi at 1145 hours (all times local),” an Air India spokesperson said.
The airline has promised a convenient flight schedule for direct onward connections from Delhi to London, Paris and Frankfurt besides direct flights to the USA and the Persian Gulf, he said.
The inaugural flight coincided with the launch of the India Show — a conference organised by the trade and industrial bodies in Bangladesh— to explore and strengthen commercial relation between the two countries.
