National carrier Air India has reduced the one way fare to Kathmandu from Delhi, Kolkata and Varanasi from Rs 14,000 to Rs 4,700 inclusive of all taxes, a company release said here tonight.
This has been done for the benefit of the Indians who have been stranded in Nepal following earthquakes since yesterday.
Besides, Air India announced waiver of cancellation and refund charges for travel between Delhi/Kolkata and Kathmandu up to May 2, the company said in its website.
The airline will also carry relief material free of charge on priority basis, on its flights to Kathmandu from Delhi and Kolkata, the release said.
