Air India, the national carrier, has signed an agreement with CAE, a global aviation training expert, on Monday to procure a brand new CAE 7000 XR series Level 'D' A320 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) for its Central Training Establishment based in Hyderabad.
This will be received by the Hyderabad facility in the first quarter of 2016. The agreement was signed at Central Training Establishment Hyderabad by Capt A S Soman, Executive Director (Training) and Dave Barette, Vice President Middle East and India-Civil, CAE.
The Simulator with an all-electric motion system provides more accurate and authentic cues for pilot training. The Full Flight Simulator will be installed at CTE along with the existing two A320 Simulators. By adding this new generation simulator, Air India will now be able to put on fast track the comprehensive training provided to its pilots with the latest technology, according to a statement.
