The low-cost airline, AirAsia, is to start a five days a week flight operating between Chennai and Bangkok from March 22.
In a statement, the airline has said that the flight will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The airline has also announced a special all-inclusive return fare of Rs 6,666.
During 2011, more than 8,00,000 Indians visited Thailand.
