AirAsia to start India operations by Sept

AirAsia plans to start its low cost airline out of India by September with two aircraft, for which it started hiring cabin crew this morning, said Suhaila Hassan, Group Head Flight Attendant, AirAsia, Malaysia.

The registration started just before 9 a.m. with candidates from all over India arriving from at around 7.30 a.m.

To begin with, the airline plans to hire around 100 cabin crew. The airline got over 700 candidates and expects around 5,000 people before 3 p.m., said Hassan.
