APM Terminals Inland Services has opened an inland container depot for the Pune district which can handle 60,000 containers annually.
The facility, spread over 12 acres, will be offering services including customs clearance, bonded and non-bonded warehousing, empty container acceptance, transportation solutions and container repairs, a company statement said.
It can be noted that the largest container port JNPT is also working on plans to have dry ports in two pockets of Maharashtra at an investment of Rs 800 crore.
