Bengal Aerotropolis Projects Ltd, promoters and developers of the Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport at Andal, has initiated city-side work for the aerotropolis (airport city).
Infrastructure major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) CE has been roped in for the city-side infrastructure development of Sujalaam Skycity, the aerotropolis.
Infrastructure including drains, roads, bridges, and a sewerage network, along with a world-class sewerage treatment plant, water supply network, central water reservoir, and elevated water tanks will be built by L&T CE.
The company will conduct the land survey and prepare the blueprint for the construction. Post-monsoon, construction work will commence at the project site, BAPL said in a release.
Incorporated in 2007, BAPL is a specialised infrastructure company engaged in the identification and development of aerotropolis projects in India. It is promoted by Changi Airports India Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Changi Airports International Pte Ltd (CAI) Singapore, Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Ltd (IL&FS), Pragati Social Infrastructure & Development Ltd, Pragati 47 Development Ltd, Lend Lease Company (India) Ltd, and Citystar Infrastructures Ltd.
