SilkAir scheduled flights to Hyderabad and Bengaluru will not be affected despite Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore temporarily suspending operations of all variants of the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft into and out of Singapore.
This comes after of two fatal accidents involving Boeing 737 MAX aircraft in less than five months.
An airline spokesperson told
In a statement, SpiceJet said that the Boeing 737 MAX is a highly sophisticated aircraft and has flown hundreds of thousands of hours globally and some of the world’s largest airlines are flying this aircraft.
“We are actively engaged with both Boeing and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and will continue to put safety first, as always. We have already implemented all additional precautionary measures as directed by the DGCA yesterday (Monday),” the company added.
