A passenger train between Kasaragod in Kerala and Byndoor (Mookambika Road) in Udupi district of Karnataka will be put into service from February 9.
A press release by the Palakkad division of Southern Railway said here that train no. 56665/56666 Byndoor-Kasaragod will start the service from Byndoor station on February 9. The service was announced in the Railway Budget of 2014-15.
The train, which leaves Kasaragod at 6.40 am, will reach Byndoor at 11.50 am. In the return direction, the train will leave Byndoor at 1.05 pm and reach Kasaragod at 6.10 pm.
The train will stop at Kumbala, Uppala, Manjeswar, Ullal, Tokkottu, Mangalore Junction, Thokur, Surathkal, Mulki, Nandikur, Padubidri, Innanje, Udupi, Barkur, Kundapura, Senapura and Bijoor stations, the release said.
The train will have 14 general second class coaches and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches, it added.
