Chennai Central-Mangalore train, which is now running six days a week, will be daily train from August.
The Palakkad division of Southern Railway said in a press release here that consequent to change in advance reservation period to 120 days, the train no. 12685/12686 Chennai Central–Mangalore–Chennai Central expresses will be converted as a daily express.
The new schedule will be effective from August 20 from Mangalore, and August 21 from Chennai Central.
There will be a change in the days of service in another weekly train operating between Puducherry and Mangalore from August.
The release said that train no. 16043 Puducherry–Mangalore weekly express, which now leaves Puducherry on Tuesdays, will leave on Fridays with effect from August 17. The new no. of the train will be 16855 from that date.
The train no. 16044 Mangalore–Puducherry weekly express, which now leaves Mangalore on Mondays, will leave on Saturdays with effect from August 18. The new no. of the train will be 16856 from that date.
