DCI gets new dredger

DCI Dredge XIX, a trailer suction hopper dredger, has been inducted into the fleet of Dredging Corporation of India.

Union Shipping Minister G.K. Vasan dedicated the dredger at a function in Ennore port.

DCI has procured the dredger at a cost of Rs 528 crore from IHC Merwede, Netherlands. The dredger has a capacity of 5,500 cubic meter and has the capacity to dredge up to a depth of 25 meter, says a press release.
