The Director-General of Civil Aviation has issued show cause notices to 11 pilots of Air India who have been strike for the last five days. They have been asked to explain why their licence should not be suspended. They have been given seven days time to file their replies.
AFP reports from Mumbai: Meanwhile, the Indian Pilots Guild has said it is ready for unconditional talks to end the strike . The Guild's spokesman, Mr Tauseef Mukadam told reporters in financial hub Mumbai that the union was “willing to talk to them (management) without any pre-conditions.”
