Logistics major DHL Express, announced on Friday increase in prices for its services across all geographies. It would be effective from January 1, 2016 and Indian customers on an average will have to pay 6.9 per cent higher charges.
DHL Express Managing Director for India, R S Subramanian in a media statement said that the rate increase is driven by the continuous investments made globally and in the country. These investments are to support growth and improve quality, despite the continuous impact of inflation and the depreciating rupee.
The company adjusts its prices annually, taking into account inflation and other rising costs, such as additional expenses related to compliance with enhanced security regulations. Price adjustments will differ from country to country, depending on local condition, the statement said.
