Domestic air passenger traffic up 7.2% in July

IndiGo flew the maximum number of passengers at 16 lakh during July this year.

Domestic airlines flew 52.16 lakh passengers in July this year, registering a growth of 7.19 per cent over 48.66 lakh passengers flown during the same period in the previous year.

The latest data released by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation shows that IndiGo flew the maximum number of passengers at 16 lakh during July this year, followed by SpiceJet at 10.92 lakh with Air India taking the third spot (9.4 lakh). Jet Airways carried 8.17 lakh passengers while Go Air carried 4.8 lakh passengers followed by JetLite (2.04 lakh).
