The LNG terminal at Kamarajar port in Ennore is expected to be operational by September or October, its CMD, Rinkesh Roy, has said.
"We will be ready to handle future fuel of the world," he said at a trade meeting organised along with MCCI.
In the last ten years, the port has transformed from handling just dirty cargo (mainly coal for TNEB) to handling a range of cargo, including cars. In the last ten years, about Rs 10,000 crore has been invested in the port, he said.
