Great Eastern Shipping Company said that it has signed a contract to sell its LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) carrier.
The 1991-built vessel of about 17,500 dwt (dead-weight tonnage) will be delivered to the buyers in the first half of this fiscal, it said.
GE Shipping has 33 vessels, comprising 23 tankers — nine crude carriers, 13 product carriers and an LPG carrier besides one capsize vessel, three kamsarmax, one panamax, four supramax and one handymax.
The fleet carrying capacity totals 2.57 million dwt with an average age of 8.8 years.
