GMR’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Hyderabad, has featured among the world’s top 3 Airports for seventh year in a row in ACI ASQ ranking.
In its announcement of winners for Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Award, 2015, Airports Council International (ACI), declared Hyderabad Airport, operated and managed by GMR Hyderabad International Airport (GHIAL), as the third Best Airport in the world, in 5-15 Million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA) Category. ACI ASQ is a premier passenger service benchmarking programme for airports globally.
SGK Kishore, CEO, GHIAL, in a statement said, “We have had the rare honour of being ranked among the Global Top three airports from the very first year of operations and this year’s award marks the seventh year in a row that we have won this recognition. The award enhances the visibility of Hyderabad, furthering the ‘Brand Hyderabad’ initiative of Government of Telangana. This will also boost Hyderabad’s standing as a leading global destination for travel, tourism and investment.”
The ACI Airport Service Quality (ASQ) programme is unique as the airport industry’s only global benchmarking programme measuring passenger satisfaction in real time while passengers are at the airport. ACI which carries out surveys at 300 airports around the world ranks the airports on the basis of airport service quality surveys which represent passenger feedback on 34 key service indicators.

Hyderabad Airport is set to receive the award at the ASQ Awards Ceremony scheduled during April 2016 in Gold Coast, Australia, in the presence of leaders from the global airports fraternity.
