Bahrain's national carrier Gulf Air is launching various initiatives for Indian travellers to specific destinations to mark its 40 years of service in India.
The airline company announced a 40 per cent discount on fares from all four Indian destinations – New Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi and Chennai – to its recently opened destinations in Europe and Africa.
Tickets can be booked from today until December 16 on www.gulfair.com.
Fleet expansion
“We plan to expand further in India, but in the immediate future we are focussing on expanding our capacity.
“We are restructuring our network to decrease cost and increase profitability,” said Mr Karim Makhlouf, Gulf Air Chief Commercial Officer.
As part of their fleet expansion plans, a new Airbus A321 will be joining the fleet for India with eight sleeper seats and 161 new economy seats with added features.
For corporate travellers
The airline introduced Falcon Corporate Plus, a package designed for corporate travellers offering a range of benefits that include special price discounts and free upgrades from economy to Falcon Gold Class.
Family packages
As part of its commercial initiatives for the Indian market, ‘Family First' – packages for Indian families and ‘Sky Hub' – long-haul flights offering high-speed internet will also be introduced, Mr Makhlouf added.
