Harihar takes charge as Air India's ED - Southern Region

R Harihar, Air India's Executive Director - Southern Region

R Harihar has taken charge as Air India's Executive Director-Southern Region, effective August 11. Prior to this, he was holding the position of Executive Director of Air India's Western Region.

He joined Indian Airlines in 1983 as Management Trainee and held several top managerial positions at the airline's headquarters in New Delhi and Western Region, Mumbai.

He served as the Executive Director of AI's Western Region from March 2007 to 2010 and again from August 2012 till now. He has also held the position as Executive Director-Personnel of Air India' Subsidiary, Alliance AIR, in the year 2006.

Harihar, who worked in human resources and airport operations, acquired a Post Graduate Degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from the Loyola College in Chennai in 1979. He also holds a Diploma in Administrative Law from Annamalai University.
