Howrah-Dhanbad double-decker train

Double Decker train seen on the platform of Dhanbad railway station, which will run between Howrah (West Bengal) and Dhanbad (Jharkhand) from 1st Oct. 2011, in Dhanbad on Thursday.

Mr Dinesh Trivedi, Minister for Railways, will flag off the superfast (maxiumum permissible speed of 110 kmph) double-decker train at Howrah station New Complex on Saturday, according to a press release issued by Eastern Railway.

The 12383 Up/12384 Dn Howrah-Dhanbad Express (Double Decker) will run on five days a week. This fully air-conditioned train will have chair car coaches and will start from Dhanbad at 5 am to arrive at Howrah at 9.15 am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

From Howrah, it will start at 3.20 p.m. on every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and reach Dhanbad at 7.40 p.m. Booking will start on September 30.
