The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) managed by Delhi International Airport (P) Ltd (DIAL), a GMR-led consortium, has retained the world’s number 1 position for the second consecutive year in the 25-40 million passengers per annum (MPPA) category.
The Airports Council International (ACI) announced the ranking at the 2015 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards today.
According to a statement from GMR, IGI Airport stands ahead of all other Indian airports by winning the maximum number of awards in 2015. IGI Airport has also been conferred two other prestigious awards — The Best Airport by Size & Region – Asia Pacific (25–40 MPPA) and the 2nd Best Airport by Region -- Asia Pacific.
