IL&FS Engineering Services Ltd has secured a letter of intent for an EPC contract for a National Highway expressway project worth Rs 1,436 crore.
The Hyderabad-based infrastructure and construction company has bagged the deal from Kiratpur Ner Chowk Expressway Ltd, a special purpose vehicle incorporated by ITNL for execution of the expressway.
The project entails engineering, procurement and construction contract and involves four-laning of Kiratpur Ner Chowk section of National Highway 21 in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.
The project is to be completed within 1005 days from the date of commencement. The 84-km road project covers the district of Rupanagar in Punjab and Bilaspur and Manali in Himachal Pradesh.
According to a statement made to the stock exchange, the scope of work includes 67.3 km of road works, minor bridges, 18 major bridges and five tunnels, toll plazas and related infrastructure.
