Delhi-based low-cost airline IndiGo has reported a net profit of ₹1,304 crore for the fiscal year 2014-15, a four-fold rise from the ₹317 crore profit it earned last fiscal, data submitted to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) shows. This is the most profitable year for IndiGo which has seen profits for the last seven years in a row. The data shows that the airline’s revenue touched ₹14,320 crore during fiscal 2014-15, up from ₹11,447 crore in the previous year. IndiGo is currently not listed but has approached the Securities and Exchange Board of India to list on the stock exchanges. IndiGo officials were not immediately available to comment on the latest numbers.
