IndiGo today announced it will operate additional flights on December 4 to accommodate passengers coming from Chennai through surface transport.
Additional flights include two daily flights from Bengaluru to Mumbai to Bengaluru, one flight from Bengaluru to Delhi, and one flight from Bengaluru to Hyderabad to Bengaluru.
The company further said that passengers, who reach Bengaluru with valid tickets from Chennai, whose flights had got cancelled, will be accepted without any additional charge or change fees or cancellation fees.
Additional flights will also enable IndiGo to transport food and other required items through cargo.
In the wake of the current situation in Chennai due to severe rainfall, IndiGo has notified its passengers, families and other local partners that all flights operating to and fro Chennai have been canceled till December 5, 2015.
