IndiGo is launching a daily direct flight between Coimbatore and Mumbai from Thursday.
It will be a double bonanza for passengers on this popular sector since IndiGo will operate its 50th new Airbus A320 aircraft on this route.
Mr Aditya Ghosh, President, IndiGo, said expanding operations in the South was part of its growth strategy and IndiGo will continue to expand to meet the requirements of both business and leisure travellers.
While from Mumbai the flight would leave at 11.50 a.m. and arrive at 1.35 p.m. in Coimbatore, in the return direction, the flight would leave from here at 2.05 p.m. and arrive at Mumbai at 3.50 p.m. The fares would start at Rs 3,735 (all inclusive lowest one-way fare valid for booking made 14 days before travel date).
IndiGo claims to be the country's second largest airline with a market share of 20.4 per cent as of December 2011. With a fleet of 50 new Airbus A320 aircraft, the airline offers 307 daily flights connecting 31 destinations.
