Private carrier Jet Airways today said it has inducted one brand new A330-300 aircraft in its fleet and it would take the delivery of one more such plane later this month.
The first of the new series of Airbus A330-300 aircraft will commence operations from December 22, a Jet Airways press release said.
The airline will deploy the new plane to service its Mumbai—Brussels—Mumbai sectors; it said adding the first two of these aircraft, will replace its two leased Airbus A300-200 aircraft.
Last month Jet Airways had said it will be replacing its two A330-200s with four A330-300s by this fiscal.
The airline currently has 11 Airbus A330-200 aircraft in its fleet.
The new A330-300 is a more efficient aircraft in terms of operational costs and proven reliability, on long haul routes, thus helping the airline plan its international network with increased operational efficiency through lower costs, the release said.
