Private carrier Jet Airways today said it will start daily services between Bengaluru and Vijayawada and two additional daily services to Mangalore, besides one flight to Trichy (Tiruchirapalli) via Kochi six days a week to enhance regional connectivity.

With the introduction of these flights from July 25, Jet Airways will operate five flights a day between Bengaluru and Mangalore and three flights daily to Kochi, the company said in a press release here.

“We are seeing strong demand from Tier II/III cities across the country. The new flights are aimed at enhancing better domestic connectivity to the passengers,” Sudheer Raghavan, Chief Commercial Officer, Jet Airways said.

Jet will deploy the 62-seater ATR 72-500 aircraft on these routes and operate an early morning flight to Vijayawada, it said.
