Jet Airways will launch a daily direct flight from Bengaluru to Singapore beginning December 14 this year.
Currently, the airline has daily flights from Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai to Singapore.
In a release, Jet Airways said it would start a direct flight from Bengaluru to Singapore. The daily service would start from December 14, further expanding its connectivity across the ASEAN region.
Boeing 737—800 Next Generation (NG) aircraft would be deployed on the route.
The carrier said that the new flight would offer Singapore connectivity to passengers from Hyderabad, Mangaluru, Coimbatore and Thiruvananthapuram.
“This service has been introduced in response to growing demand on this sector, particularly from business and corporate travellers,” it added.
Jet Airways Chief Commercial Officer Jayaraj Shanmugam said introduction of the service is in keeping with the growing popularity amongst its guests for enhanced, seamless connectivity between the ASEAN region and India.
The carrier has a fleet of 117 planes and operates flights to 67 destinations, within and outside India.
