Jet Airways, Vietnam Airlines sign pact for direct flights

Jet Airways Chairman, Mr Naresh Goyal, hugged by the President and Chief Executive Officer of Vietnam Airlines, Dr Pham Ngoc Minh, after signing an agreement in the presence of the Vietnamese President, Mr Truong Tan Sang, during a Vietnam-India Business Forum in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Jet Airways and Vietnam Airlines have signed a pact for commercial services between India and Vietnam, according to a report.

This direct flight partnership between the airlines of Vietnam and India is expected to contribute to the development of tourism, as well as boosting the investment and trade relations between the two countries.

Mr Naresh Goyal, Chairman of Jet Airways, said, “This agreement with Vietnam Airlines is an integral part of our strategy for increased international growth and providing seamless service for travellers between India and Vietnam.”

“We believe that the direct flights between India and Vietnam shall bring benefits to our customers, creating all favourable conditions to bring the two countries traditional and multi-faceted relationship to a more practical and efficient level”, said Dr Pham Ngoc Minh, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vietnam Airlines.
