Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who is on a three-day visit to China to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF), met Hakubun Shimomura, Japanese Minister for Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
Both Karnataka and Japan discussed upon ways to promote and partner in the information technology sector. During the meeting, Japanese co-operation to promote the education sector was also discussed.
Karnataka Chief Minister also discussed the possibilities of getting the support of Japan for high-speed rail and infrastructure corridors connecting Chennai-Bangalore-Mysore.
