Metro Railway, Kolkata has reported a near 62 per cent increase in passenger earnings of over Rs 13 crore in June this year compared with Rs 8 crore (approx) it earned in the corresponding period last year.
According to a release issued by the Metro Railway, this is “an all-time record in terms of passenger earnings''.
In the first three months of this fiscal (April to June), Metro’s passenger earnings have seen a 60 per cent growth to Rs 40 crore against Rs 25 crore during the same period last fiscal.
